Block House is a premium private residence in Prague combining modern architecture with state-of-the-art smart home technology. VOIX delivered a complete smart installation — KNX automation, multiroom audio, wellness zone control, and full security integration — unified under Control4.
The technological foundation is professional KNX-standard automation with Ekinex design elements. The entire ecosystem is overseen by the Control4 central control system. Owners have full control from one place — interior and garden lighting as well as comprehensive shading that responds seamlessly to preset scenes, the time of day, or the family's current needs, naturally complementing the architecture of the house itself.
To make the living experience truly premium, VOIX integrated complete thermal comfort management with efficient heating and cooling interconnection. Controlled ventilation and heat recovery continuously maintains optimal air quality throughout the house. The technology also manages the smooth operation of the home wellness and fitness zone with an integrated sauna. Perfect ambience is created by multiroom audio, delivering immersive sound not only in the interior living spaces but flowing seamlessly onto the outdoor terrace and garden.
For maximum peace of mind, we fully integrated the existing security system (EZS) with the automation. Smooth household operation is further complemented by centralised access control — from the main entrance gate and pedestrian wicket through to the secure management of three garage doors.
A remarkable technical detail of this project is that our technicians completely installed the power distribution board, integrating KNX control directly within it. The enormous scale and precision of the entire invisible solution is illustrated by one fascinating behind-the-scenes fact: approximately 1 kilometre of cabling was used for the low-voltage electrical installation alone.
